Turkish Customer Chooses 6kW Tube Laser Cutting Machine with 6m Tube Capacity and Semi-Automatic Loading

2026-09-15

Market Background

In Turkey’s metal fabrication market, tube laser cutting machines are increasingly used for processing steel tubes and profiles in applications where material handling, cutting accessibility, and material utilization are important considerations. Local machine offerings commonly emphasize 6 m tube processing, semi-automatic or automatic loading, and follow-up support for long workpieces.

For customers processing standard-length tubes, the machine configuration needs to balance cutting capability with practical loading and support requirements.

Customer and Application

A Turkish customer required a tube laser cutting machine for processing tubes up to 6 m in length. The requested configuration included a 250 mm chuck, 6 kW laser source, semi-automatic or fully automatic loading, and a support system capable of following the tube during cutting.

The customer also placed particular importance on material utilization. The requested solution needed to support zero-tailing cutting, with a holder for the final section of the tube to reduce the risk of the remaining material falling during processing.

The application did not require bevel cutting, so bevel cutting was excluded from the configuration.

Our Solution

Based on these requirements, we configured the machine with a Raycus 6 kW CE-model laser source, Delta servo motors, and a BOCHU control software system without PLC.

The tube processing system uses a 250 mm chuck and supports tube lengths up to 6 m. A removable cutting head in front of the chuck provides clearance around the chuck area, while the machine structure adopts a side-mounted design with clearance, consistent with the Q6012G-TLC configuration drawing. The drawing specifies side-mounted structure with clearance and semi-automatic loading.

For long tubes, an automatic follow-up support system was included to support the workpiece during cutting and reduce sagging-related handling issues. The machine was also configured for zero-tailing cutting, using a holder to retain the final material section.

Customer Feedback

During configuration confirmation, the customer focused on four practical points: 6 m tube capacity, 250 mm chuck size, follow-up support, and material utilization at the end of the tube. These requirements directly determined the machine configuration rather than adding unnecessary functions.

The customer also confirmed that bevel cutting was not required, allowing the machine to remain focused on standard tube cutting applications.

Summary

The final configuration combines a 6 m tube length, 250 mm chuck, 6 kW Raycus laser source, Delta servo motors, BOCHU control system, removable cutting head, automatic follow-up support, and zero-tailing cutting.

The machine drawing gives an overall equipment size of 8,500 × 2,260 × 2,050 mm, providing a clear reference for workshop and foundation planning.

Customer Feedback

The key value of the solution is its alignment with the customer’s actual tube-processing workflow: long-tube support, chuck-area clearance, semi-automatic loading, and controlled handling of the final tube section.

Takeaway

For Turkish metal fabrication applications requiring 6 m tube processing, a tube laser cutting machine should be evaluated not only by laser power, but also by chuck size, tube support, loading method, cutting-head accessibility, and material utilization. This configuration addresses these factors while keeping the machine specification closely matched to the customer’s stated application requirements.
