Foshan, Guangdong, China - QIHAI LASER has launched the QH-6016GH, a 4000W tube laser cutting machine built for the 15-160mm pipe range that most fabrication shops work with every day. The machine combines a 6 metre loading bed, a 160mm chuck and semi-automatic loading with an optional water-assisted slag removal module that clears molten dross from the inside of the tube before it can bond to the bore wall.

Fabricators cutting tube in the 60mm to 160mm range run into a specific difficulty. The outside of the cut is easy to clean with a grinder, but the inner wall is not. Molten dross thrown from the kerf cools and welds itself to the bore, and on tube longer than a metre there is no practical way to reach it. The consequence is visible at the next station: welding porosity, poor thread engagement, uneven coating adhesion, or a part that has to be scrapped after the cut was already correct.
The QH-6016GH addresses this with an optional water-assisted slag removal unit. A controlled water flow travels along the tube bore and meets the cut zone, quenching the molten dross and carrying it out of the tube before it solidifies on the inner surface. Water is recovered and recirculated through the chiller circuit, so running cost stays low in continuous shifts. The outcome is a clean bore, a dross-free lower cut edge and a part that moves to welding without manual reaming.

The QH-6016GH is supplied with five optional functions that can be specified separately according to tube size, wall thickness and downstream process: water-assisted slag removal, bevel cutting, zero tailing cutting, head removable around chuck, and weldseam identification. A buyer configuring a machine for furniture tube may choose water-assisted slag removal and zero tailing cutting, while a buyer producing structural components may prefer bevel cutting and weldseam identification. Nothing is forced into the base price.
The QH-6016GH is aimed at steel furniture and shelving producers, racking and storage system manufacturers, gate and fence fabricators, gym and fitness equipment makers and general job shops that cut mixed tube sizes daily. These are operations where the tube diameter rarely exceeds 160mm but where the bore cleanliness directly affects welding quality, and where a machine that is too large wastes capital while a machine that is too small limits the order book.
The QH-6016GH is available to order now with a minimum order quantity of one set. Machines are CE certified and carry a two year machine warranty, a laser source warranty of up to two years and a one year warranty on optional modules. Factory installation supervision, operator training and remote technical support are included. Fabricators can send sample tube for a cutting trial and receive a configuration proposal matched to their pipe sizes and downstream process.
